1271 Calories Burned – 16 Hours Recovery Time

Here we go, new year, new me time .. If you believe in that nonsense!

Getting things done in the gym, means the start of great things to come in 2018. I’ve been a bit lax with my cardio and fat burning of late, but as you can see .. that ends, now.

I have a great day of healthy eating, and burned 1271 calories in the gym.

I’m using the Iqniter heart rate system to record my efforts, and I have to say, I’m pleased with my own efforts.

This is a perfect example of a HIIT workout. That is short from High Intensity Interval Workout.

You exercise as intense as you can for a set amount of time (usually 30 – 60 seconds), then you rest for approximately the same time. Rinse, then repeat.

You can exercise this way for anything up to 60 minutes, and it will be more effective at burning body fat than say a 60 minute brisk jog or run, on a treadmill.

The science behind HIIT has been proven, however, it does not work for everyone in our opinion, and in the eyes of some experts and professional body builders, who still like to use moderate exercise to burn fat.
